Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Misinterpretation of Input via the handling of EDNS OPT records. An attacker can bypass filtering rules by sending specially crafted EDNS options that are ignored during initial processing but are rewritten as valid options when EDNS Client Subnet is inserted, allowing unfiltered options to reach the backend.
