Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in the IMAP compression process. An attacker can cause the process to exhaust available memory and terminate all active connections by selecting a compression algorithm that requires excessive memory for decompression and opening multiple simultaneous connections.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling IMAP compression in the configuration, such as by removing zlib or other compression plugins from the relevant settings and restarting the service.
