CVE-2018-11591  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade espruino/espruino to version 1.98 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference. Espruino before 1.98 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) with a user crafted input file via a NULL pointer dereference during syntax parsing. This was addressed by adding validation for a debug trace print statement in jsvar.c.
