CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade EVerest/everest-core to version 2025.10.0 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference via the deserialization process of a DC_ChargeLoopRes message containing both Receipt and TaxCosts, where the vector tax_costs in the target Receipt structure is accessed out of bounds in the convert function. An attacker can cause the module to terminate and disrupt all related processes by sending a specially crafted message.
