Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow via the CAN interface initialization process when an interface name longer than the allowed length is passed to ifreq.ifr_name. An attacker can corrupt adjacent stack data and potentially execute arbitrary code by supplying a malicious or misconfigured interface name before any privilege checks are performed.
