CWE-416  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade EVerest/everest-core to version 2026.02.0 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the auth timeout timer process due to a race condition between EV plug-in/unplug and authorization events such as RFID, RemoteStart, or OCPP, or when there is a delayed authorization response. An attacker can cause memory corruption or crash the application by triggering these events in quick succession.
