Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime due to improper management of socket descriptors in the blocklistd service. An attacker can cause resource exhaustion by repeatedly triggering adverse event reports, leading to the exhaustion of available file descriptors and preventing the process from blocking or unblocking addresses. This can result in the service becoming ineffective and may impact overall system performance.
