Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the processing of the header of an incoming message due to insufficient validation of the message size. An attacker can cause a crash, system panic, or potentially escalate privileges by sending a specially crafted message that writes outside the bounds of a heap allocation.
