Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow in the select process. An attacker can cause stack corruption and potentially escalate local privileges by causing an application to allocate a large number of file descriptors, exceeding the FD_SETSIZE limit, which leads to a stack overflow when the process does not properly verify descriptor bounds. This is only exploitable if an attacker can influence the number of open file descriptors and the application is running with elevated privileges.
