Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the FUSE_LISTXATTR process. An attacker can cause the kernel to read beyond the end of a heap-allocated buffer and potentially write beyond the end of another buffer by sending a non-NUL-terminated list from a malicious userspace daemon. This can result in disclosure of up to 253 bytes of kernel heap memory or injection of up to 250 attacker-controlled bytes into unallocated kernel heap space.
