CWE-123  (opens in a new tab)

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Write-what-where Condition in the KTLS receive process. An attacker can overwrite arbitrary files by sending file-backed data over a loopback connection with KTLS receive enabled, causing the decrypted data to overwrite the backing file's page cache. This allows bypassing file flags and can result in privilege escalation if trusted files are targeted.
