Upgrade freerdp/freerdp to version 3.26.0 or higher.
Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write in the gdi_CacheToSurface function due to improper validation of rectangle coordinates, which allows copy operations to use unclamped cache entry dimensions. An attacker can execute unauthorized code or cause a system crash by enticing a user to connect to a malicious Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) server. This is only exploitable if the client connects to an untrusted or compromised RDP server.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting usage to only known and trusted RDP servers and avoiding connections to untrusted or unknown servers.
