How to fix?

Upgrade freerdp/freerdp to version 3.29.0 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Reachable Assertion via the serial_process_irp_device_control process. An attacker can cause the client process to abort by sending a specially crafted IRP_MJ_DEVICE_CONTROL request with an unsupported IOCTL and a non-zero OutputBufferLength, leading to a mismatch that triggers a reachable assertion. This is only exploitable if serial device redirection is enabled.
