Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Handling of Length Parameter Inconsistency in the websocket.c process. An attacker can cause the client to disclose unintended memory contents by sending a crafted Ping control frame, resulting in the client replying with an overlong Pong message that includes bytes beyond the intended payload. Additionally, sending a zero-length Ping can terminate the client, leading to a denial of service.
