Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Over-read via the DNS Response Parser when parsing domain names in a DNS response. An attacker can cause the parser to read beyond the DNS response buffer by sending a carefully crafted DNS response with a domain name length value greater than the actual domain name length. This is only exploitable if the application uses DNS functionality.
