Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Uninitialized Resource via the getnetbyaddr() or getnetbyaddr_r() functions when the system is configured with a nsswitch.conf that uses the DNS backend for networks and processes a query for a zero-valued network. An attacker can obtain sensitive stack memory contents by triggering such queries, which are then leaked to the DNS resolver.
