Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input via the ns_printrrf, ns_printrr, and fp_nquery functions when processing DNS responses containing specific record types such as LOC, CERT, TKEY, or TSIG. An attacker can cause an application to crash or trigger uninitialized memory reads by sending a specially crafted DNS response. This is only exploitable if the affected debugging functions are invoked by the application.
