Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Infinite loop via the certificate validation process when handling a crafted certificate chain containing a circular issuer relationship. An attacker can cause excessive CPU consumption and application freeze by tricking a user or client to connect to a malicious server presenting such a certificate chain.
