CWE-203  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade gnutls to version 3.8.3 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Observable Discrepancy in response times when processing malformed ciphertexts compared to those with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding during RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange. An attacker can potentially exploit this timing side-channel to leak sensitive information by observing the differences in response times (Marvin).

Note:

This is marked as an incomplete resolution for a previously identified vulnerability, CVE-2023-5981.
