Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authentication due to the improper handling of UUIDs for device identification. An attacker can bypass the password protection feature by attaching an external drive with a file system that has a duplicate UUID, which is prioritized over non-removable drives during the boot process on UEFI systems.
Note:
This is only exploitable if the system is configured to boot from external devices before internal devices.
