The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Integer Overflow or Wraparound via the BFS parser. An attacker can leak sensitive data or cause a crash by supplying a specially crafted or corrupted BFS filesystem image.
Note:
This is only exploitable if the attacker can trick a user into running grub2 with the malicious BFS file system image.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by not running grub2 in an untrusted environment, specifically with a BFS file system image.
