Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write via the handling of a specially crafted HFS file system image. An attacker can execute arbitrary code or cause a crash by tricking a user into running the vulnerable application with the malicious image.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by not running grub2 in an untrusted environment, specifically with a HFS file system image.
