Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the hex_to_binary process of the PKZIP hash parser when data_type_enum is less than or equal to 1. An attacker can cause a crash or potentially execute arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted PKZIP hash file that results in attacker-controlled hex data being decoded into a fixed-size buffer without proper input-length validation.
