CWE-203  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade iperf to version 3.17 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Observable Timing Discrepancy due to a timing side channel in RSA decryption operations. An attacker can recover credential plaintext by sending a large number of messages for decryption.

Note

This is only exploitable if the server uses RSA authentication with OpenSSL versions before 3.2.0.
