CWE-290  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to User Impersonation via the internal ACL process when dynamic links are enabled and network payload encryption is disabled. An attacker can inject arbitrary data packets and bypass access restrictions by spoofing a legitimate link ID in crafted network frames. This is only exploitable if the system is configured to accept connections from any IP address (dynamic links) and network encryption is explicitly disabled.
