Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Removal of Sensitive Information Before Storage or Transfer due to improper clearing of sensitive memory segments in the cryptographic configuration process. An attacker can obtain encryption key material by leveraging local access and memory disclosure techniques. This is only exploitable if the attacker has local access to the host and can pair this flaw with a separate memory disclosure mechanism.
