Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size via the parsing process. An attacker can cause the application to crash by persuading a user to open a specially crafted legacy PowerPoint (PPT) file. This is only exploitable if a user opens a malicious document.
Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by exercising caution when opening untrusted or suspicious legacy PowerPoint (PPT) files and processing untrusted documents in a sandboxed environment.
