The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Control of Dynamically-Managed Code Resources via the org.freedesktop.FileManager1.ShowFolders D-Bus method when a regular file's path is provided as a URI. An attacker can execute arbitrary code or bypass network namespace restrictions by crafting a malicious D-Bus call that causes the application to delegate handling to another program without user confirmation.
Note:
This issue is disputed by the vendor with the following statement: "those outcomes are potentially unwanted by most users; however, the behavior of the product does comply with the applicable specification, and a simplistic solution (ensuring that the URI does not name a regular file) may have adverse consequences for I/O."
