Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in the Open process of the littlefs filesystem image parser when the BlockCount value is read directly from the attacker-controlled superblock without validation. An attacker can exhaust system memory by supplying a crafted image with a large BlockCount value, causing excessive heap allocations.
