Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference in the UFS parser when the root inode is a symlink. An attacker can cause a denial of service by providing a crafted UFS image where the root inode is set to a symlink with an embedded target, resulting in a zero-length directory data buffer and triggering a null-pointer dereference on the first read.
