Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Detection of Error Condition Without Action in the pusb_has_virtual_input_device function due to EACCES errors being silently ignored when attempting to open /dev/input/event* nodes. An attacker can bypass authentication by running the process with insufficient permissions, causing the system to incorrectly assume no virtual input devices are present and proceed with authentication.
