Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authorization due to a missing check on the command used to refine a collection shard key. An attacker can exploit this by invoking the command to interfere with shard behavior, potentially degrading query performance or inferring shard chunk boundaries through timing side channels, leading to information disclosure.
