Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Unintended Proxy or Intermediary ('Confused Deputy') via the processing of write commands containing crafted internal flags in sharded cluster environments. An attacker can alter server-controlled encryption metadata fields by submitting specially crafted requests through the mongos process, potentially leading to corruption of encrypted query correctness.
