Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource insecure permissions are set on the ~/.local directory in permissive umask environments. An attacker can inject a malicious .desktop launcher by exploiting world-writable directory permissions.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by configuring the system's umask to a secure value, such as 0022 or 0077, to prevent the creation of world-writable directories.
