CWE-121  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade nasa/CryptoLib to version 1.4.2 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow due to a missing bounds check in Crypto_Key_update() function. An attacker can achieve remote code execution or cause a denial of service by supplying a specially crafted TLV packet with a spoofed length field, resulting in an out-of-bounds write to the stack.
