Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow via improper bounds checking of the domain string during the connection sequence. An attacker can achieve remote code execution by sending a specially crafted domain value that causes a stack buffer overwrite and manipulation of the return address.
Note: This is only exploitable if the executable is not built with stack canary protection, or if an attacker can also leak the stack canary value.
