CWE-78  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade neutrinolabs/xrdp to version 0.10.6 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Command Injection via the AlternateShell parameter during session initialization. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands on the server by supplying a crafted value for AlternateShell that is processed by /bin/sh -c prior to the normal window manager startup. This is only exploitable if the AllowAlternateShell setting is enabled (which is the default when not explicitly configured).
