CWE-789  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade nginx to version 1.30.1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value in the ngx_http_scgi_module and ngx_http_uwsgi_module when scgi_pass or uwsgi_pass is configured. An attacker can cause excessive memory allocation or read memory contents of the worker process by controlling responses from an upstream server through a man-in-the-middle position. This may also allow the attacker to restart the worker process.
