CWE-287  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade nginx to version 1.26.3, 1.27.4 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authentication due to improper handling of TLS session resumption. An attacker can intercept and decrypt communications by exploiting this weakness in the session resumption process.

This is only exploitable if the server is configured to use TLS session resumption without proper session ticket key rotation.
