CVE-2026-21711  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-862  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade nodejs/node to version 25.8.2 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Authorization due to Unix Domain Socket (UDS) server operations lacking the proper network enforcement checks present in comparable network paths. An attacker running restricted code (intentionally executed without the --allow-net flag) can still create and expose local IPC endpoints. This enables unauthorized communication with other processes on the same host, effectively allowing the attacker to escape the application's intended network isolation boundary.
