Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition through the NppCommands.cpp process. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands by swapping the shortcuts.xml file between application startup and command execution, causing a malicious payload to be loaded into memory while the integrity check validates a legitimate file on disk. This is only exploitable if the attacker has write access to the shortcuts.xml file prior to application launch.
