The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow in the rrdcached component. An attacker can cause a crash or execute arbitrary code by sending an oversized CREATE request to the UNIX socket. This is only exploitable if the attacker has local access and sufficient permissions to connect to the UNIX socket, or if TCP listeners are exposed without proper access controls.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting access to the UNIX socket using filesystem permissions and group ownership, avoiding unnecessary exposure of TCP listeners, protecting any such listeners with network access controls, and running the daemon as an unprivileged user and group.
