Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Overflow due to a flaw in the decode_deliver function during the SMS decoding process. An attacker can achieve remote code execution by sending a specially crafted SMS message that triggers a stack overflow.

Note:

This is only exploitable if the attacker has access to a compromised modem, a malicious base station, or can send SMS messages directly.
