Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use of Hard-coded Credentials via the handling of the JWT_SECRET_KEY environment variable. An attacker can generate valid authentication tokens by exploiting the use of a predictable, hard-coded signing key when the environment variable is unset. This is only exploitable if the environment variable JWT_SECRET_KEY is not set.
