Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write through the ipmi_sim simulator. An attacker can cause the application to crash or, in rare cases, bypass authentication or execute arbitrary code by sending crafted packets that trigger out-of-bounds array access.
Note: It does NOT affect the main library, just the simulator. This is mainly used for testing.
