Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure via secret-dependent branching in the HQC reference implementation when compiled with Clang at optimization levels above -O0. An attacker can recover the entire secret key by exploiting observable differences in execution paths. This is only exploitable if the code is compiled with Clang using optimization levels -O1 or higher.
