Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Read in X509_VERIFY_PARAM_set1_email(). An attacker supplying a malicious email address, such as a From: address during S/MIME validation, can cause an internal helper to use the wrong length when validating the local part, so the 64-octet limit is not enforced, crashing the application.
