CWE-310  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade openssl to version 1.0.0h, 0.9.8u or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Cryptographic Issues. The implementation of Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS) and PKCS #7 does not properly restrict certain oracle behavior, which makes it easier for context-dependent attackers to decrypt data via a Million Message Attack (MMA) adaptive chosen ciphertext attack.
