CWE-180  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade owasp-modsecurity/ModSecurity to version 3.0.16 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Behavior Order: Validate Before Canonicalize through the multipart request body parser, which removes embedded line breaks from non-file form-field values before exporting them to ARGS and ARGS_POST. An attacker can bypass request-body inspection rules by crafting payloads that rely on preserved line breaks to evade detection.
