CVE-2015-8394  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-189  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade pcre to version 8.38 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS). PCRE before 8.38 mishandles the (?() and (?(R) conditions, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (integer overflow) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted regular expression, as demonstrated by a JavaScript RegExp object encountered by Konqueror.
